Bob and Leslie's Retirement
Bob and Leslie retired this week after 44 years and 39 years of service at Mayo, respectively. Wowsa. They fed their work friends FOUR giant cakes on Tuesday afternoon, and were repaid with some very kind words about how much they will be missed at Mayo.
On Friday, they had another party for their family and friends at Salem Glen, a cozy little vineyard in Byron with lots of charm. Retirement already seems to suit them, and they looked super happy and relaxed.

Climate Change
It is snowing in May. Disgusting! It took us 2 whole hours to get downtown today. The first bus got stuck in the blizzard, the second bus never made it either, and the car got stuck in the parking lot. It took ages (for Dan) to dig it out of the snow. By the time we got it out, the roads had been plowed, so I guess that was good.
