Christmas with a kid

Grandparents and babies

Mina meeting Auntie Lindsey for the first time

I wish I had something like this to work my fingers when I was a kid.  I built this latchboard by sanding and painting a wooden board and then attaching a bunch of switches, latches, bolts, key locks etc to it.  Hopefully it will distract them from the real things.

Mina feels like a champion in this quilt. It was made by Edna Litwiller and actually belonged to Dan when he was a baby.

Nani arrives

Mum arrived just a day earlier from Singapore amidst lengthy delays, jet-lag and blustery weather, but this new Nani threw herself into the rigors of childrearing from the first minute. Here she is after giving a cursory hello to me and Dan before attending to Mina.

12 weeks had sped by and before I knew it it was time to return to work. A lot of people asked me how I was doing with the separation and I can honestly say that there was not a shred of anxiety.  Of course, I knew Mina was in good hands.
