Happy Birthday, Nikita!

Nikita (or Nika or Kita), born a few weeks early on July 20th, 2016. She was born a teeny little girl at just under 6 pounds but from what Dy and Pranay say, she is eating well and filling out quickly.

Sensory Play with Flubber

We made flubber.  It's a great, simple recipe that squishy and slimy but NON sticky.  

1 cup of water plus 1 tablespoon of fiber supplement (with psyllium husks). We gave it a good whisk to mix well and make sure there were no lumps.  Then microwaved for ~4 minutes.  

 The first attempt was a success! Unfortunately I chose to add green food coloring to a caramel colored supplement, so it came out a distinctly...poopy color. 

Then we tried it again with better food coloring (used the Neon colors for better color).  

For the last experiment we mixed up the water, food coloring and GLITTER! we had to do this on the stove though.
