| Decorating on Thanksgiving to make the house ready for guests |

Best thanksgiving prep ever! We busted out a ham that we had purchased on sale post-Easter and then frozen for a rainy day. This rainy day, in fact, despite Dan suggesting that ham is not a Thanksgiving meal. Bah! It was wonderful to eat, awesome to prepare, and the leftovers were yummy too. |

Kate and Aaron had a nice birthday party event for Alex's 4th at the Alley Pond Environmental Center. The event organizers had all the kids do a little craft at the beginning (potting a plant), then they got to see all the indoor animals (like birds, rabbits and turtles), and then we got taken out on a little nature walk. |

They had the kids (and grownups) sit in a circle so that they could see and touch some animals too. They brought out some rabbits and then some snakes. How fun. |

Salvatores in Port Washington has really good pizza and its made fresh, right in front of you. We went with Danielle, Eric and Theo. |
