Mina was a little girl who lived in a little town. She didn't know it yet, but she was about to go on a Grand Adventure. She said:
| Goodbye, friends! |
Goodbye, Auntie Sarah, Uncle Tony and Ian!
| Goodbye Grandma and Grandpa! |
Then her parents put her into a big yellow truck.
When she she looked out of the window she said: Goodbye tiny house! Goodbye white snow! Goodbye cows! Goodbye wide open spaces!
The big yellow truck grumbled and it rumbled and it purred like a happy cat. It put her right to sleep.
Mina had to sit for a long, long time, but she kept herself busy.
Mommy and Daddy seemed to be having a good time:
| After many many hours, she looked around and it was quite dark. The big yellow truck rolled to a stop in front of a lovely house and then she said: |
Hello Auntie Lindsey, Uncle Andy, Will and Grace!
She played with her cousins while her parents rested, but then it was time to go again. So she said:
Goodbye Michigan, Goodbye Ohio, Goodbye Pennsylvania, Goodbye New Jersey! Hello Big Apple!
| Mina knew that she had to let her parents concentrate on winding their way through the narrow streets, so she waited very patiently until they reached their new home. Then she spent some time bouncing on her new crib mattress. |
| Downstairs her parents were hungry and gobbled up some dinner before getting to work, but they had to stay as quiet as mice! |
| Little Mina's Grand Adventure was not quite finished though. Early the next day, Mina got to meet a whole pile of babies! |
Phew, she said to her parent's with a big, tired smile. Let's go back to our new HOME!
