Nikita initiated the beginning of a new era - she stayed with us for two weeks this summer, and it felt like she had always been here and she always would be. She was a joy to have - sweet and polite, willing to try everything (even when we kept having strangers over for dinner) and made sure everyone stayed on task with reading and math. Mina and Rowan loved doing everything with her.

| She decided to learn how to ride a bike this summer. Dy bought her a pretty bike from Target and she was perseverant; every couple of days, she and Dan went out to practice with Mina and Rowan standing by as cheerleaders. By the end of the summer, she was riding a bike. Sometimes Juno watched too. |
