We entered the Rocky Mountain National Park through the Fall River Entrance and then stopped for a short, easy walk to the waterfall at the Alluvian Fan.  The falls were bracketed by giant boulders, which some people climbed to get all the way to the top. The kids were eager to get climbing, so we made it up about half way, until we got to a little shaded nook. We had lunch there and then turned back around.

We drove further into the park and stopped for a little meander into the woods at Beaver Points

Then we got back into our cars and drove way up the mountain to Forest Canyon, which was absolutely amazing. Very little grows at that altitude (tundra), and the air feels crisp, thin, and clear. We could see all around for miles
